
Saint Margaret Mary Parish is the Chartered Organization for Boy Scout Troop 905 since 1962 and Venture Crew 905 since 2008. Over these years, with the support of the parish, its pastors and parishioners, and our many friends, Troop 905 has prospered, served the community at large, and has shepherded over 50 boys on to the rank of Eagle Scout, scoutings highest achievement.
Troop 905 is part of the Greater Pittsburgh Council and a unit of the Montour District. Our troop meets every Thursday at 7:30 PM on the lower level of the Dompka Education Center. The committee/parents meeting is held on the third Thursday of every month.
Venture Crew 905 is a Boy Scouts of America program for boys and girls 14 through 20. Crew gives a scout the opportunity to continue in scouting beyond their 18th birthday. The participants plan and conduct activities under the leadership of their crew leaders and the committee. For more information contact the Boy Scouts.
The Adult Fellowship Association strives to bring together all parishioners twenty-one years and older to enjoy social, religious, educational and tour activities. Any member of the parish, married, widowed or otherwise single, who is twenty-one years of age or over, is eligible for membership. The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Men's Fraternal organization. The local chapter, St. Francis of Assisi, consists of Catholic men, 18 yrs or older, from St. Margaret Mary Parish in Moon Township, and St. Joseph Parish in Coraopolis. Monthly meetings are on the first Thursday of the month in the Council home at 518 Thorn Run Rd., Coraopolis. The Knights are committed to making their community a better place, while supporting their Church, through 5 areas of service - faith, community, family, youth and fellowship.

The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is a Catholic, non-profit organization whose goal is to help the poor in spirit and downtrodden. The group has been active at St. Margaret Mary Parish for many years and membership is open to adult members of the parish. Activities include two clothing drives per year, collection of food for the needy, visitation and distribution of the Eucharist to those in the hospital and nursing homes. The Society also assists families monetarily when they may require more than what the West Hills Food Pantry can provide. Since funds are limited, assistance is typically short term and judged on a case-by-case basis. For more information contact the Saint Vincent DePaul Society.
Moms and Pops w/Tots is a playgroup set up for parents/guardians with children between the ages of babies thru 5 years old. Moms and Pops w/Tots is free and open to all parishioners. Moms and Pops w/Tots provides an opportunity to meet other parents from the parish as well as provide time for children to play.
Moms and Pops w/Tots meets monthly. Typically meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 10-11:30am in the DEC. Check the bulletin for upcoming times.
The Womens Guild and Christian Mothers strive to unite all women of St. Margaret Mary Church through its social and spiritual activities so that together they can help each other and their families to lead meaningful lives.
